Celebrating Lunar New Year

ACLA Ontario along with Injured Workers Action for Justice came together on Feb 2 to celebrate the Year of the Snake.

As communities across Ontario and Canada welcome the Year of the Snake, this gathering will not only honour traditional festivities but also reaffirm the commitment to fighting for justice, dignity, and equity for all workers—especially those who have been marginalized, injured, or excluded from full participation in the labour force.

ACLA has long been at the forefront of advocating for Asian Canadian workers, pushing for stronger representation, anti-racism initiatives, and meaningful inclusion within the workplace, labour unions, and beyond. Similarly, IWA4J has been a critical voice for injured workers, many of whom face systemic barriers, including precarious employment and inadequate compensation.

By coming together for this Lunar New Year celebration, ACLA and IWA4J emphasize the intersections between cultural identity, workers’ struggles, and the fight for justice.
